This engine delivers the type of power that is expected in performance hot hatches just a few years ago. Thanks to dual balance shafts, it's smooth, too, and fuel economy is pretty darn good at 22/29 mpg with the automatic. It is very reliable and require minimum maintenance aside from regular oil changes. The vehicle drives very solid in curves and on the highway; the turning radius is tight, which is a big plus.
