Overall, the car's dynamics are perfectly appropriate for this type of vehicle, and it's a really nice balance of ride, handling and acceleration. The edge's maximum towing capacity is 3,500 pounds. Even with the v6 at full song, the interior cabin remains remarkably quiet. Ford said its engineers were obsessed with reducing wind noise, to the point of tweaking exterior mirrors "by tenths of a millimeter" to conquer the wind. Ford has done a fine job making the edge more handsome for 2011, but the heaviest lifting has been done inside the cabin. Capacitive touch controls are stylish and works great. The cabin is roomy and pleasant for both front- and back-seat occupants, a true five-seater without anybody feeling squished.
